Matthew Lee

Matthew Lee functions in the capacity of a Senior Environmental Scientist at CLE, equipped with a Master of Science (MSc.) in Aquatic Sciences and a Bachelor of Science (BSc.) in Environmental Biology, both conferred by the University of the West Indies, Mona.

Boasting an extensive tenure of over 15 years in the field, he has honed his expertise in Environmental Construction Monitoring and Environmental Impact Assessments, spanning across aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems. Matthew has been instrumental in facilitating the permitting process for a diverse array of nationally significant projects on behalf of governmental bodies and private enterprises, such as hotels, highways, and power plants. Additionally, he assumes responsibility for post-permitting environmental construction compliance monitoring, overseeing comprehensive assessments that encompass a wide scope, including marine, freshwater, potable, wastewater, and ground water quality monitoring. His monitoring activities also extend to air quality assessments, covering PM10, PM2.5, asbestos, TSP, NOx, and SOx, along with noise and acoustic monitoring, and comprehensive evaluations of coral reef and seagrass conditions, among other construction-related endeavours.

In addition to his environmental proficiency, Matthew holds credentials as a certified British Sub-Aqua Club (BSAC) Sports Diver, Freediver, and Reef Check EcoDiver, complemented by additional training and certifications:
