Jamaica Public Service (JPS) Company Limited is interested in renewable energy generation for Jamaica to support the national energy policy and reduce the dependence on imported fossil fuel. Initially, potential sites for solar energy development in Jamaica were evaluated based on land space availability, energy yield potential, resource assessment and interconnection potential.
